General Care and Maintenance for Hardwood Flooring

Keep a doormat inside and outside entrances to minimize
tracked-in grit.

Remove remaining grit or dirt by vacuum or dust mop.

Use wood floor Cleaner and Refresher to keep
flooring looking like new.

Never use water on a hardwood floor.

Wipe spills
immediately with a dry cloth or rag.

Protecting your new Hardwood

Excessive amounts of water and wood don't mix
- Wood is a Natural material that swells when it absorbs
water and shrinks when it dries. Wipe up spills
immediately to keep your floor unmarked, smooth and
level. Never use water to clean or mop your floor.

Avoid spike heels
- Spike
heels are damaging to hardwood flooring they strike a floor with more force
per inch than an elephant's foot. Spike heels in general are
especially harmful to your floor. We recommend felt pads under all furniture
that sits on wood floors.

Grit is one of the biggest dangers
to your floor - Tracked - in dirt is like
sandpaper on hardwood flooring. Use a walk off or entry
rug at every doorway entrance to catch dirt and grit also vacuum or
shake out regularly.
